The world number 5 Rafael Nadal is still on course to win his seventh Italian Open title. The Spaniard had a early scare losing the first set 6-1 before fighting back to win the next two sets 7-5 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals stage. There were straight set wins for top seed Novak Djokovic and second seed Roger Federer today to move into the last eight.
