The top seed and defending champion Roger Federer is into the Shanghai Masters semi-finals with a straight sets victory over Kei Nishikori from Japan. The match saw some great high quality tennis from both players with Federer coming through 6-4 7-6 against the world number 12. Tomorrow Federer will face Borna Coric from Croatia for a place in Sunday Final.
The British number one Kyle Edmund was knocked out today by world number five Alexander Zverev 6-4 6-4 in a match lasting one hour and 12 minutes. Zverev will now play Djokovic in the last four after the Serb defeated Kevin Anderson 7-6 6-3.
