Federer Wins Opening Match at ATP Finals

Roger Federer the six-time champion opened with a straight sets victory over American Jack Sock at the ATP Finals in London. Federer making his 15th appearance at the end of season event for the top eight ranked players in the world was to strong for Sock winning 6-4 7-6. In the other match in Boris Becker group, German Alexander Zverev had to come from a set down to beat Marin Cilic 4-6 6-3 6-4.

This evening world number one Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the event & bought to end his season after losing his opening round robin match against David Goffin 7-6 6-7 6-4. Nadal mentioned before the tournament his knee was not perfect & will now focus on recuperation before preparing for the new season.

Earlier today in the Pete Sampras group, Grigor Dimitrov won against Dominic Thiem 6-3 5-7 7-5.
